reading sectors works wonderfully. To go on to writing sectors, I tried to change the functions "read" into write functions, and it works. Writing any part of an operating system is not something a 'dummie' can do. I am sure that "OSDEV 4 dummie" is nearly not possible with the usual C & asm (Intel and AT&T syntax) approach, but Mike's and others' tutorial might help that "OSDEV made easy" could be achieved.
