Re: USB/HDD/CD/DVD Booting

I had problems with my floppy read as well, and had to move the buffer. Try that.

Re: Setting up Visual Studio 2010
Have you added a cpp file to the project yet? I just tested it and I had to create a source file before the C/C++ options showed up.

Re: Chapters
Hello, Chapter 24 (Loaders) is planned for release in about two weeks. Currently there is no ETA on the second chapter to cover graphics due to no currently decided direction. A chapter covering the VESA VBE will probably be next to help ease the transition into VGA and SVGA. If it becomes official...

Re: Annoying Advertisements
People keep posting advertisements in their signatures, then they make one post (so that you can see the signature) and hope that it will attract people to their business... Honestly? They're just spammers. But they try to fit right in, either commenting on the thread or asking a semi-related quest...

Re: Chapter 23 Demo Release
I'm just now getting a chance to dive into the demo, and I was getting the page fault too, anytime I tried to do anything after entering usermode. I have the virtual memory manager patch. I solved it this way. The original code from the virtual memory manager initialization procedure was: pt_entry_a...

Re: This site has been discontinued?
It is by far the best OS tutorial site I've ever visited, and I don't think it's been discontinued. Mike is pretty busy, so updates take a while.
